Senior Choir

The senior choir seeks to cultivate musical appreciation in learners and promote voice development. The senior choir consists of learners from Grade 4 – 7. Only learners who have passed auditions can become a member of the choir.

Music Education

Music forms an integral part of society and the value and significance that music adds to a child’s education as well as development cannot be overemphasized. Love for music is cultivated that is going to provide a lifelong joy.

Orators

Our mission is to promote good language use  and self-confidence among learners. We also create the opportunity to deliver a speech in front of public audiences – truly a skill that will benefit a learner for life. Internal public speaking afternoons are offered in preparation to provide an opportunity for many learners and also to determine who qualifies, e.g. for the ATKV Public Speaking Competition.

Speech and Drama

Speech & drama offers children the opportunity to express themselves in a safe creative environment. It gives children the opportunity to develop their self-confidence, empathy, imagination, cooperation, communication and much more.

Internal eisteddfod opportunities are provided throughout the year.

The Foundation Phase’s internal afternoon usually takes place in Term 2 and the Gr 4-7 afternoon in Term 3.

In between, internal social speaking/debate afternoons are also offered, mainly for Grade 6 and 7 learners.
